The tempo
At 200 BPM a click stops working as a beat marker and starts working as a texture, which is why almost nobody counts every beat here. Metal drummers count the bar; bebop players count in two, at 100, and let the head sit on top. It is also the highest number on many mechanical metronome dials, whose scale traditionally stops at 208.
Where you hear it
Counted in half time, this is the same music as 100 BPM: the click marks beats one and three instead of all four. If a part at 200 feels frantic, try the half-time click and play across it.

200 BPM is extremely fast. It closes Presto and opens Prestissimo, and it is exactly double the round 100 BPM that a lot of pop is written at.
Death metal and grindcore, where blast beats are counted at 200 and up; Bebop and hard bop heads, felt in two at 100; Hardcore punk and speedcore. The list is a guide rather than a rule: tempo varies within every genre.
